Compound Crossbow Pistol
From WeaselWiki
The Compound Crossbow Pistol is a tinkerer basic construction that consists of a handheld frame with a short single-hand grip. The body of the weapon has two short bow arms with a criss-crossing pattern of bowstring. At each end of the arms are a set of two rollers that act as levers to multiply the force of the arms. Due to these levers, it is much easier to load a compound crossbow pistol versus a light crossbow. While it still takes just as long, it takes far less concentration, and therefore does not provoke attacks of opportunity.
