Template:MessageBox The Tinkerer is a creator, an inventor, and an engineer. Often setting up shop in a larger settlement in Lestalia or hitting the road with a caravan, they invent, create, and upgrade mechanickkal marvels with ease.

Role: Tinkerers create weapons, armor, mechanickal traps, and other mechanickal odds and ends. They assist their party with these little marvels; and they further use them to bolster themselves against overwhelming odds. Tinkerers, however, are weak when alone.

Class Features

The following are the class features of the Tinkerer.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency

Tinkerer's Sight

The tinkerer is adept at finding the problems with mechanickal devices, and in addition to being able to do so, receives +1 to all craft(engineering), profession(mechanick), and knowledge(engineering) per level. This does not stack with any other miscellaneous bonuses to craft, profession, or knowledge skills.

Basic Construction

Basic Constructions are simple mechanickal devices capable of dealing damage, protecting the Tinkerer, and allowing them to perform basic tasks more easily.

Advanced Construction

Advanced Constructions are advanced devices that are able to surpass the mundane weapons and armor others use. They are large, expensive, and complex to use. So complex - in fact - that those other than the tinkerer can only manage the most basic of functions while using them.

At the Speed of Thought

The tinkerer is able to find shortcuts in the methods used to produce mechanickal devices by reusing equipment, tools, and parts from previous devices. By deconstructing a similar mechanickal device of the same augmentations, the tinkerer is able to shorten the time required to craft the device to 1/2 of it's normal time. Similarity is at the discresion of the DM.

Augmentation

Through the use of substances, items, mechanickal gadgetry, and ability, the tinkerer is able to augment their weapons and armor. These augmentations can add defensive and offensive capabilities unlike any other. Armor Augmentations come in at first level, and every second level thereafter. Weapon Augmentations begin at third level, and every third level thereafter.

Adjustments

Adjustments are small or large changes that can be applied to a weapon, a piece of armor, or a miscellaneous item in order to increase it's effectiveness, or to give it further abilities.

Advanced Adjustments

Allows the tinkerer to select Advanced Adjustments from the Adjustments Table.
