Steel Rose

A 30-something female wrestler-type. Lots of grapple and throw moves. Shying away from piledrivers; Zangief did those to death. Probably throw a clothesline attack in there too. Looks similar to famous WW2 propoganda-postergirl Rosie the Riveter, perhaps even calling reference to that in a supermove (uses a riveter, perhaps, as a super-special). Her boyfriend in the 101st Airborne took part in the Normandy invasion and Operation Market Garden, but he was killed when his squad's glider crashed into a tree. She feels that she must finish the work her boyfriend started, so sets off for Germany by herself.

Profile

  • Nationality: American
  • Occupation: Riveter by day, professional wrestler by night
  • Age: 30-ish
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short, curly Marilyn Monroe style, except brown and done up in a rag.
  • Outfit: White-button down shirt, denim jacket with sleeves rolled up, blue jeans.

Once an ordinary girl with small-town ambitions, Audrey Parker was thrilled to have the best-looking guy in town as her boyfriend...until 1944, when he was drafted into the US Army and fought in Operation Overlord. Having not heard from him since that day, Audrey decided that she could be just as strong as her boyfriend, and trained as a professional wrestler under the pseudonym "Steel Rose". She competed for three years, never once receiving word back from her boyfriend, until finally she decided to travel to Europe herself to look for him. Steel Rose's wrestling experience translates well to the melee combat of the German front.

Moves

  • Charge B,F+P: Bodyslam.
  • Folding chair swings.
  • Combo that can trip the opponent with the riveter.
  • Projectile attack with the riveter that can be charged up; charging does not affect raw damage but increases the number of combo hits, useful for increasing scratch damage or for setting up combos.
  • Fire a red-hot rivet at the floor which will lightly damage anyone who steps on it. It disappears after a few seconds, or until someone has stepped on it, whichever comes first.
  • Nearly any melee attack with a welding torch.

Personality

Win Poses

Steel Rose may be a patriot, but she's more interested in gloating or showing off her build.

  • Rose adopts the famous "We Can Do It" pose, flexing her rather powerful-looking arm.
  • Rose takes out a rivet-gun and leans on it semi-suggestively. "I'm ready for my close-up, Mister De Mille!"
  • A chair slides in out of nowhere, Rose sits on it and casually leans back in it with a sigh.
