Siofra

For the purposes of this game, Siofra can be best described as a universal wanderer. For more information about her from her own writer, this is probably the best source.
Siofra Aine Whelan is a paladin of the fire goddess Fyrshala, of whom nobody on Shantania is aware (except perhaps Rowan, who has a very Malkavian insight into things he shouldn't know). Clad in full plate mail, except for her chainmail bikini (worn exclusively in Caynea if one should somehow get her there), she is an entity of pure confidence, as capable of bluffing her way into places she has no business entering as she is of flirting her way into smallclothes that she has no (other) business removing.
Gameplay Mechanics
As a paladin of the Fire Goddess, Siofra is both a physical fighter and a magical one. Her weapon is Flametongue, a Strength-based glaive of unusually strong build. She claims it to have been forged in the fires of the World Tree, but nobody quite grasps what this means. Teah is unable to permanently upgrade this weapon (it is already as powerful as it can be), but it can still be sharpened for temporary bonuses. She rides a mount in battle, notably preferring giant wolves, though she cannot find any to mount in this world.
Siofra is also capable of casting fire and healing magicks, though not as powerful as dedicated mage or medic characters, with the noted exception of Flametongue's special attack, and Fyrshala's Purity, a holy beam spell entirely unique to her.
I can't figure out a decent way to work the lycanthropy into gameplay, so she will not be a werewolf in this world.
Skills
- Honeyed Words - The art of smooth-talking is strong with Siofra. With any character that she can Support with (i.e. females), she gains Support at twice the normal rate.
- Fyrshala's Purity - A unique Holy-element special attack that only Siofra can use. Once per battle, Siofra may fire a beam in any cardinal direction that deals severe Holy damage to up to three enemies in a line, as long as no friendly characters are in the way (she will refuse to fire the beam). Range is up to 5 tiles.
- Bardic History - Since Siofra was a bard in her teens, she is capable of performing songs by way of singing, whistling, guitar and mandolin. While she's not outstanding at it, her performance as part of the Caravan troupe increases income between chapters.
Supports
This page is pretty unfinished. Weasel plans to get to it eventually. Probably.
Being of the lesbian persuasion, Siofra is not interested in Supporting with male characters and cannot gain any Support ranks with them. With women, however, she gains Support ranks at twice the normal rate. (I may ask Atma to help write these at some point! -ww)
