"HEY! Put that down, you're gonna hurt someone!" Ruby grabs the young maidservant's wrist and wrenches the spear from her hand. "That's an idiot move, there, kid."

"Kid? Are you serious?" Ellis - who has not even left her teens yet - is greatly taken aback by the slight to her age. "Look, I'm just trying to learn how to get good at this fighting stuff, and since you won't teach me..."

"Did you ever ask yourself why I won't teach you?" Ruby places the spear back on the weapon rack. "You're being reckless and showy. You're not respecting your weapon."

"I used to see the Caynean Guard do those spinny spear moves all the time, though!"

"Because they know what the hell they're doing. You haven't even tried stabbing the dummy yet, what makes you think you can spin the thing around? Hey, don't touch that!" Ruby slaps Ellis's eager hand away from the weapon rack. "I took it from you for a reason! Besides, you were watching the Guard from your damn palace, they were probably doing parade drills or some shit. That sort of move doesn't have any place in real combat, and you can quote me on that!"

Ellis sits on the ground and starts sulking. "When are you going to take me seriously? I want to fight, too!"

"Well, the way you're going, you stand more of a chance of stabbing yourself than anything in front of you."
