RCPA Megamix (tentative title) is a celebration of the Weaselverse series of mods and a collaboration between Blue Vertigo and WildWeasel. RCPA Megamix combines aspects of Agent Diaz: The Last Hours of Purity, Agent Hernandez, and the original version of The Space Pirate into one cohesive experience.

Overview

The goal of RCPA Megamix is to unify all of the Weaselverse mods (excluding The Stranger and Build The Skill) into one project, making several quality-of-life changes inside and out. This includes (but is definitely not limited to):

  • Unified art style with original, created-from-scratch weapon graphics
  • Quality of life internal features from The Space Pirate (2021), such as the melee system and reloading system
  • Streamlined weapon selection focused on a "best of" approach, pulling from each of the three projects.

Gameplay

  • Characters start with their own unique melee and starting weapon, as well as minor differing attributes (speed, jump height, view height). Characters also have unique difficulty level names (outside of Game of Death, the hardest skill level).
  • No monsters included with the mod, allowing compatibility with monster-only mods
    • Will possibly launch with a monster-only mod with extra compatibility with RCPA Megamix
  • With melee selected, pressing and holding primary fire will prep a charge attack. This attack differs between all selectable characters but deals massive damage.
  • Alternate fire for all weapons (outside of melee) will aim the down sights.

Playable Characters

Special Agent Olivia Katarina Díaz

Olivia Díaz is the top agent of the RCPA's European branch, assigned to the organization's most important cases and the lead agent in the majority of its operations. Díaz is highly dependable, extremely resourceful, and especially skilled in various forms of combat. When mission success is critical, Díaz is the best agent for the job.

Gameplay

Díaz is largely modeled after her last playable appearance in ww-diaz-v3. She has default stats across the board and is ideal for someone wanting to play with a classic Díaz experience with little-to-no frills.

Díaz retains her combo system from ww-diaz-v3, with new strings inspired by the reference video above. Pressing primary fire performs a standard string, with alternate fire dedicated to finishing moves. Díaz has the strongest melee out of the cast.
  • STARTING WEAPON: Custom 1911A1 handgun (or something mechanically similar).
Somewhere in between the archetypal Magnum and a “normal” handgun, it holds a reasonable amount of ammo per magazine, but less than Mel or Hernandez’s, and does rifle-like damage per shot, but not as much as a rifle or Magnum would. Just a nice, thick, comfortably strong handgun for those who feel less like bullet spam is a way to solve problems.

Agent Diego Milo Hernández

When the going gets tough, agent Diego Hernández can usually be spotted on the scene, besting the odds. A former officer of the Spanish National Police, Hernández's impressive service record led to him being scouted by the RCPA's European branch. Hernández’s strong sense of justice and charming personality has earned him quite a positive reputation among RCPA staff members.

Gameplay

Hernández is more of a specialist character, focused on semi-stealth gameplay and quickly (and quietly) dispatching lesser enemies.

  • MELEE: Combat Knife
No real combos, mash button for random swings.
  • STARTING WEAPON: RCPA-custom “Judgment” tactical handgun
Magazine size is middling; somewhere between Diaz’s 1911 and Mel’s Type 919. Deals the least damage per shot, but is integrally suppressed, so that monsters further away than about 128 units or so will not hear it (though bullet impacts against walls probably should -ww).
I feel like Hernandez should visibly wield his knife in his off-hand for this gun, either to make melee attacks take noticeably less time than with other guns, or just for sake of flavor. Whether MGS3 CQC-style, or Modern Warfare 2 tac-knife-style, is entirely down to what the artist feels like doing. -ww
