Nestor

"I'm afraid it's ill news, Wagonmaster. I've seen a party of raiders, some distance ahead of us. They've just put out their torches, but they are still approaching. I suspect they plan to attack us in the dark."

Profile

Nestor is the appointed captain of the Wagonguard, a small task force formed by Wagonmaster Bren after Lynia joins the train. He is a Lestalian Elf, formerly a skilled-labor worker from the mines. He worked that job from a very young age, and spent so much time underground that he is extremely sensitive to light. As such, he is rarely seen without a silk blindfold covering his eyes (to "normalize" his vision). Nestor was selected as Wagonguard captain because of this light-sensitivity, as this enables him to see approaching parties from a long distance, even on the darkest of nights. He rides a horse to escort The Wagontrain while it is moving.

Mechanics

In battle, Nestor is mounted and wields a poleaxe. His attack range is still typical melee range (only 1 tile's range), but as he is mounted, he will deal more damage if he moves first.

Skills

• Dark Attunement - If Nestor is in the active party, darkness effects are voided. However, Nestor is especially susceptible to blindness-inducing effects.
• Charge - Nestor's movement range increases by 3 if he is moving in a straight line. Also, critical chance increases if Nestor moves beyond his normal range before attacking.
