Gaiana

Gaiana is a quiet, calm 13-year-old girl who has a talent for light magic. She is secretive about her origins, and rarely confides in others. In reality, Gaiana is the 30th Finder Decisive, the leader of the hidden sect of holy assassins, The Finders.

Gaiana was born to the 29th Finder Decisive, a man documented only by his title, and sent to live with surrogate parents in Jallanton, out of the reach of any of the major nations. When she reached ten years of age, she was sought out by the Finders for questioning; a single Finder found her place of residence, on a special request to take Gaiana back alive. In the middle of the night, Gaiana was taken back to the Finders' headquarters. Unfortunately, her surrogate parents witnessed this, and were thus ordered removed.

On arrival at headquarters, Gaiana soon learned that all was not well. Her real father, the 29th Decisive, had died suddenly to unknown causes, and records indicated that Gaiana was the only heir. As she was too young to understand the business into which she had been thrust, she was instead kept contained in a lavish library with a bed and occasional meal delivery.

For the next three years, Gaiana kept herself well-read. The Finders' Library contained many historical documents pertaining to most major nations of Shantania, but also contained redacted records of the Finders' dealings since their inception. Gaiana read about previous Decisives, the means by which they were chosen, their deeds, and detailed accounts of world crises which were potentially averted by the actions of Finder agents. Gaiana also studied the arcane arts and found she had a talent for controlling light.

When she turned 11, Gaiana was allowed out of the library and began training as an apprentice Finder. Techniques for investigation and stealth, fact-finding and checking, tailing and watching. At 12, Gaiana was issued a Holy Implement, and was assigned her first Removal, which was executed with no witnesses or cleanup. By 13, Gaiana was at last granted her title as the 30th Finder Decisive.

In combat, her "default" weapon is called "Flash Blast," which does little damage to enemies, but can tend to blind or stun them. If she gains high level Support with certain characters, Gaiana will reveal herself as a Finder, and her weapon will instead default to her Holy Implement, which is extremely powerful but cannot be sharpened or forged. Flash Blast is also extremely effective against Ice Demons (especially Kasiell), so it is still usable on command.
