Lynia's head attendant, Eillis is actually younger than her by one year. She was the only daughter of a Caynean noblewoman who died in childbirth, while her father had been executed for repeated infidelity. Eillis was sent to a Caynean orphanage, but Lynia's compassion led to her being hired as a royal attendant at the age of 12, a year before Domenic was hired. She is more aware of the surrounding culture and helps Lynia to blend in wherever she travels. She could be considered Shantania's equivalent of an anthropologist, except without all the nerdy Bones-speak.
